‘Crazy for Cookies’ luncheon

The Cape-Atlantic Christian Women's Connection will host a Crazy for Cookies Luncheon Buffet 11:30 a.m.-1:45 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8 at L's Restaurant, 119 Route 50, Corbin City. Susan Adair from Ocean City’s and Voorhees’ “Crazy Susan's Cookies” will be the special guest. The all-inclusive price is $16.50. A free nursery is available by reservation. Scholarship benefit at The Flanders

The Charles Knox Scholarship Foundation benefit will be 6-11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10 at The Flanders in Ocean City. The evening includes a full comedy show with two comedians, a high-end buffet and drinks, a DJ and dancing, a silent auction throughout the evening and door prizes. Comedians this year are Dena Blizzard and Vic DiBitetto. Proceeds benefit the scholarship foundation, which gives out scholarships to deserving high school seniors to use towards their college education. Romance through the ages

The Ocean City Repertory Theater, 813 Asbury Ave., presents its salute to Valentine’s Day with three performances of its fifth annual “Romance through the Ages” by candlelight 7:30 p.m. Feb. 11, 2 p.m. Feb. 12 and 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14. ‘I Love New York

Ocean City Theatre Company presents “I Love New York” 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Music Pier, Moorlyn Terrace and Boardwalk. Doors will open for a dessert reception featuring assorted treats and desserts donated by local eateries at 7:15 p.m.

CONTACT triathlon/duathlon fundraiser

The sixth annual CONTACT Cape-Atlantic Triathlon/Duathlon will be through Feb. 20 and includes a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bicycle ride and a 2-mile run. The registration donation is $25 and the event is co-sponsored by the Ocean City Aquatic and Fitness Center. Competitors can substitute gym events for the swimming, biking and running events. Everyone who enters receives a T-shirt, and everyone who finishes will receive an award. Fitness forum

The first Fitness Forum presented by Ocean City Education Foundation, will be Saturday, Feb. 11 and Sunday, Feb. 12. The fun event is for students, parents, families and individuals. To register online, for more information and for a detailed schedule see www.ocnjef.com.

OCIS fishing sale and flea market

The sixth annual Ocean City Intermediate School fishing sale and flea market will be 9 a.m.-1 p.m. March 3, rain or shine, at the Ocean City Intermediate School gymnasium, 1801 Bay Ave. Free parking, refreshments, door prizes. The cost is $3 for adults and $1 for children ages 6-10. All proceeds go directly to the Intermediate School fishing club.

Tabernacle trip

The Ocean City Tabernacle will sponsor a bus trip on March 22 to Lancaster, Pa. to see the new production by Sight and Sound, “The Story of Jonah.” This show uses live animals, a mechanical whale and a cast of over 100 to portray the biblical story.

Craft show

There will be a Holiday Celebration of Fine Crafts presented by the Jersey Shore Artisans Guild 10 a.m-5 p.m. March 31 and April 1 at the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace. Parking is free. A contribution of $3 supports area charities. No charge for children under 12.
