OCEAN CITY – The Greater Ocean City Theatre Company will be holding auditions for their upcoming season on Saturday, March 23 at the Ocean City Music Pier, Moorlyn Terrace and Boardwalk.
Casting will be for three Broadway style productions including “Singing In The Rain,” “Peter Pan” and “Smokey Joe’s Cafe.” OCTC will also be casting adult actors for their 2013 theatre for young audiences season. These shows will be performed at the Ocean City Music Pier on Mondays, in West Chester, Pa. on Saturdays and will be part of Stockton’s Summer Series in Cape May on Wednesdays.
Auditions are by appointment only. Performers should prepare two contrasting 16-32 bar selections and be ready to dance if asked. A musical theater movement and tap dance combination will be taught. If needed, callbacks may be held after the dance calls. No kids or youth under the age of 17 will be seen at this audition. Accompanist provided.
Those interested in casting should have daytime availability and professional/college theater experience. On March 20 and 21, OCTC will head to the Big Apple for their open call in New York City. They expect to see over 500 musical theatre performers between the three auditions.
