The Ocean City Police Department responded to 531 calls for service Dec. 18-24.
On Sunday, Dec. 18, police had 89 calls for service, responded to six alarms, made 35 motor vehicle stops and 20 property checks, and assisted with four fire calls and three EMS calls.
Criminal mischief investigation at 8:11 a.m. on the 100 block of 34th Street.
Burglary investigation at 1:57 p.m. on the 2300 block of Central Avenue.
Burglary investigation at 2:50 p.m. on the 2300 block of Central Avenue.
On Monday, Dec. 19, police had 85 calls for service, responded one accident and five alarms, made 26 motor vehicle stops and 30 property checks, and assisted with five fire calls and six EMS calls.
Assault investigation at 8:00 a.m. on the 1200 block of Bay Avenue.
Motor vehicle accident at 1:17 p.m. on the100 block of Ninth Street; no injuries reported.
Fraud investigation at 1:19 p.m. on the 2200 block of Bay Avenue.
On Tuesday, Dec. 20, police had 83 calls for service, responded to one accident and three alarms, made 24 motor vehicle stops and 16 property checks, and assisted with three fire calls and two EMS calls.
Criminal mischief investigation at 9:16 a.m. on the 1100 block of Boardwalk.
Warrant service at 10:25 a.m. on the 4100 block of West Avenue; one in custody.
Warrant service at 10:46 a.m. on the 800 block of Central Avenue; one in custody.
Motor vehicle accident at 12:53 p.m. on the 400 block of West Avenue; no injuries reported.
Warrant service at 2:05 p.m. on the 800 block of Central Avenue; one in custody.
Harassment investigation at 2:07 p.m. on the 1800 block of Bay Avenue.
Theft investigation at 2:14 p.m. on West 17th Street.
Warrant service at 3:37 p.m. on the 500 block of West Avenue; one in custody.
Domestic violence investigation at 9:31 p.m. on the 600 block of Wesley Avenue.
On Wednesday, Dec. 21, police had 62 calls for service, responded to one accident and one alarm, made 17 motor vehicle stops and 18 property checks, and assisted with three fire calls and three EMS calls.
Hit and run motor vehicle accident at 3:38 p.m. on the 700 block of Central Avenue.
Harassment investigation at 5 p.m. on the 400 block of Bay Avenue.
Warrant arrest at 11:09 p.m. on the 600 block of Wesley Avenue; one in custody.
Criminal mischief investigation at 11:10 p.m. on the 2200 block of Central Avenue.
On Thursday, Dec. 22, police had 62 calls for service, responded to one accident and two alarms, made 21 motor vehicle stops and 7 property checks, and assisted with six fire calls and six EMS calls.
Theft investigation at 1:04 p.m. on the 100 block of Fourth Street.
Motor vehicle accident at 3:15 p.m. on the 700 block of Sixth Street; no injuries reported.
Warrant service at 7:05 p.m. on the 1400 block of Simpson Avenue; one in custody.
Harassment investigation at 7:20 p.m. on the 500 block of Atlantic Avenue.
Theft investigation at 7:45 p.m. on the 3000 block of Bayland Drive.
Theft investigation at 7:55 p.m. on the unit block of Ninth Street.
On Friday, Dec. 23, police had 73 calls for service, responded to one accident and one alarm, made 24 motor vehicle stops and 18 property checks, and assisted with four fire calls and five EMS calls.
Controlled dangerous substance investigation at 12:06 a.m. on the 900 block of Haven Avenue; two in custody.
Verbal dispute at 12:52 a.m. on the 4300 block of West Avenue.
Domestic violence investigation at 9:29 a.m. on the 300 block of West Avenue.
Domestic violence investigation at 9:48 a.m. on the 800 block of Plymouth Place; one in custody.
Verbal dispute at 1:14 p.m. on the 400 block of Eighth Street.
Motor vehicle accident at 1:23 p.m. at 12th Street and Asbury Avenue.
On Saturday, Dec. 24, police had 77 calls for service, responded to one alarm, made 17 motor vehicle stops and 26 property checks, and assisted with five fire calls and four EMS calls.
Driving while intoxicated investigation at 1:20 a.m. on Longport Boulevard; one in custody.
Verbal dispute at 2:29 a.m. on the 900 block of Wesley Avenue.
Warrant service at 12:32 p.m. on the 800 block of Central Avenue; one in custody.
Warrant service at 4:48 p.m. on the 2200 block of West Avenue; one in custody.
Public service announcements:
It is a violation of a city ordinance to have dogs on the boardwalk anytime during the year.
When driving on Route 52, remain alert for sudden stops due to ongoing construction.
Do not drink and drive. The Ocean City Police will have extra patrols on during the holidays.
