The Ocean City Police Department responded to 620 calls for service Feb. 12-18.

On Sunday, Feb. 12, police had 90 calls for service, responded to three alarms, made 34 motor vehicle stops and 27 property checks, and assisted with two fire calls and three EMS calls.

Drug investigation at 11:48 a.m. on the 900 block of West Avenue; one in custody.

Harassment investigation at 11:52 a.m. on Arkansas Avenue.

 

On Monday, Feb. 13, police had 75 calls for service, responded to four alarms, made 21 motor vehicle stops and 18 property checks, and assisted with seven fire calls and six EMS calls.

Fraud investigation at 10:10 a.m. on the 600 block of Central Avenue.

Landlord-tenant dispute at 7:54 p.m. on the 1400 block of Ocean Avenue.

Driving while intoxicated investigation at 8:30 p.m. on the 2600 block of Bay Avenue; one in custody.

Warrant service at 11:29 p.m. on the 3700 block of Central Avenue.

 

On Tuesday, Feb. 14, police had 65 calls for service, responded to one alarm, made 15 motor vehicle stops and 20 property checks, and assisted with four fire calls and seven EMS calls.

Harassment investigation at 11 a.m. on the 800 block of Wesley Avenue.

Theft investigation at 12:02 p.m. on the 1100 block of Central Avenue.

Theft investigation at 6:04 p.m. on Victoria Lane.

Warrant service at 8:45 p.m. on the 800 block of Central Avenue; one in custody.

 

On Wednesday, Feb. 15, police had 111 calls for service, responded to three alarms, made 53 motor vehicle stops and 34 property checks, and assisted with two fire calls and two EMS calls.

Burglary at 9:14 a.m. on the 3400 block of Haven Avenue.

Harassment investigation at 2:45 p.m. on Madaket Court.

 

On Thursday, Feb. 16, police had 87 calls for service, responded to three alarms, made 35 motor vehicle stops and 23 property checks, and assisted with six fire calls and seven EMS calls.

Drug investigation at 8:09 a.m. on the unit block of North Street; one in custody.

Verbal dispute at 9:20 a.m. on the 100 block of 55th Street.

 

On Friday, Feb. 17, police had 80 calls for service, responded to two accidents and five alarms, made 17 motor vehicle stops and 22 property checks, and assisted with three fire calls and four EMS calls.

Motor vehicle accident at 11:42 a.m. on the 3300 block of West Avenue; no injuries reported.

Motor vehicle accident at 2:43 p.m. on Route 52; no injuries reported.

Verbal dispute at 4:30 p.m. on the 2800 block of Wesley Avenue.

 

On Saturday, Feb. 18, police had 112 calls for service, responded to one accident and six alarms, made 39 motor vehicle stops and 18 property checks, and assisted with eight fire calls and five EMS calls.

Disorderly conduct investigation at 7:59 a.m. on the 600 block of Wesley Avenue.

Warrant service at 8:30 a.m. on the 600 block of Wesley Avenue; one in custody.

Warrant service at 9:50 a.m. on the 900 block of Wesley Avenue; one in custody.

Fraud investigation at 12:58 p.m. on the 400 block of Central Avenue.

Burglary investigation at 1:33 p.m. on the 1800 block of Asbury Avenue.

Motor vehicle accident at 1:40 p.m.; no injuries reported.

Theft investigation at 4:58 p.m. on the 300 block of Central Avenue.

 

Public service announcements:

It is a violation of a city ordinance to have dogs on the boardwalk anytime during the year.

When driving on Route 52, remain alert for sudden stops due to ongoing construction.

A reminder that New Jersey law requires all snow and ice removed from a vehicle prior to driving on a public roadway.
