The Ocean City Police Department responded to 583 calls for service Feb. 26-March 3.

 

On Sunday, Feb. 26, police had 90 calls for service, responded to one accident and one alarm, made 33 motor vehicle stops and 19 property checks, and assisted with five fire calls and seven EMS calls.

Warrant service at 11:53 a.m. on the 2000 block of Bay Avenue; one in custody.

Motor vehicle accident at 12:09 p.m. on the 800 block of West Avenue; no injuries reported.

Theft investigation at 4:43 p.m. on the 200 block of Ocean Avenue.

 

On Monday, Feb. 27, police had 87 calls for service, responded to one accident and one alarm, made 32 motor vehicle stops and 26 property checks, and assisted with three fire calls and four EMS calls.

Fraud investigation at 7 a.m. on the 5200 block of Simpson Avenue.

Burglary investigation at 7:01 a.m. on the 1200 block of Haven Avenue.

Harassment investigation at 1:19 p.m. on the 200 block of Crescent Road.

 

On Tuesday, Feb. 28, police had 76 calls for service, responded to one accident and one alarm, made 22 motor vehicle stops and 23 property checks, and assisted with seven fire calls and seven EMS calls.

Theft investigation at 3:26 p.m. on the 500 block of Atlantic Avenue.

Motor vehicle accident at 4:06 p.m. at Ninth Street and Bay Avenue; no injuries reported.

Verbal dispute investigation at 7:10 p.m. on the 900 block of Wesley Avenue.

 

On Wednesday, Feb. 29, police had 64 calls for service, responded to two alarms, made 27 motor vehicle stops and 15 property checks, and assisted with two fire calls and seven EMS calls.

Warrant service at 1:03 a.m. on the 200 block of 28th Street; one in custody.

Theft investigation at 9:20 a.m. on the 300 block of Ocean Avenue.

Assault investigation at 10:40 a.m. on the 900 block of Central Avenue.

Trespassing investigation at 4:01 p.m. on the 600 block of West Avenue.

 

On Thursday, March 1, police had 78 calls for service, responded to two accidents and five alarms, made 29 motor vehicle stops and 22 property checks, and assisted with three fire calls and three EMS calls.

Motor vehicle accident at 9:22 a.m. on the 400 block of Eighth Street; no injuries reported.

Motor vehicle accident at 1:36 p.m. at 34th Street and Simpson Avenue; no injuries reported.

Fraud investigation at 2:07 p.m. on Grenada Lane.

Warrant service at 3:52 p.m. on the 900 block of Haven Avenue; one in custody.

 

On Friday, March 2, police had 82 calls for service, responded to one accident, made 22 motor vehicle stops and 24 property checks, and assisted with three fire calls and four EMS calls.

Drug investigation at 1:59 a.m. on the 800 block of Ocean Avenue; two in custody.

Hit and run motor vehicle accident at 10:44 a.m. on the 800 block of Ocean Avenue.

Burglary investigation at 11:30 a.m. on Grenada Lane

Criminal mischief investigation at 4:59 p.m. on the 3600 block of Bay Avenue.

 

On Saturday, March 3, police had 106 calls for service, responded to two alarms, made 37 motor vehicle stops and 27 property checks, and assisted with five fire calls and two EMS calls.

Disorderly conduct investigation at 2:51 a.m. on the 200 block of Ninth Street.

Warrant service at 2:12 p.m. on the 400 block of Central Avenue; one in custody.

 

Public service announcements:

It is a violation of a city ordinance to have dogs on the boardwalk anytime during the year.

When driving on Route 52, remain alert for sudden stops due to ongoing construction.
