The Ocean City Police Department responded to 619 calls for service April 1-7.
On Sunday, April 1, police received 77 calls for service, responded to one alarm, made 20 motor vehicle stops and 23 property checks, and assisted with three fire calls and four EMS calls.

On Monday, April 2, police received 76 calls for service, responded to two accidents and six alarms, made 15 motor vehicle stops and 25 property checks, and assisted with six fire calls and nine EMS calls.

On Tuesday, April 3, police received 71 calls for service, responded to one accident and three alarms, made 24 motor vehicle stops and 20 property checks, and assisted with three fire calls and four EMS calls.

On Wednesday, April 4, police received 85 calls for service, responded to two accidents and six alarms, made 27 motor vehicle stops and eight property checks, and assisted with six fire calls and five EMS calls.

On Thursday, April 5, police received 68 calls for service, responded to seven alarms, made 11 motor vehicle stops and 18 property checks, and assisted with three fire calls and three EMS calls.

On Friday, April 6, police received 97 calls for service, responded to one accident and three alarms, made 18 motor vehicle stops and 26 property checks, and assisted with nine fire calls and nine EMS calls.

It is a violation of a city ordinance to have dogs on the boardwalk any time during the year.
When driving on Route 52, remain alert for sudden stops due to ongoing construction.
Arrests:
Malinda Varley, 23, of Tuckerton was arrested March 29 by Sgt. Campo and Patrolman Ruf and charged with obstructing the administration of law.
