Asbury merchants give back

Bill and Lois Maguire, owners of the Cricket Box at 704 Asbury Ave., present a $500 check to Ocean City Community Services director Jim Mallon to be used for the city’s beachwalk program. The check is in appreciation of profits made from their new, reusable tote bag that features replicas of every city beach tag since the program was implemented in 1976. The store has featured city memorabilia items for many years including the Cat’s Meow series of over of 120 replicas of Ocean City buildings, posters, floor mats and beach blankets.
