Written by Staff Reports Thursday, December 06, 2012 04:06 pm
OCEAN CITY – OCNJ CARE is making an effort to bring Christmas to the children of Ocean City families affected by Hurricane Sandy and is asking for donations of new, unwrapped toys.
Drop off toys noon-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays at the Civic Center, Sixth and Boardwalk, by Friday, Dec. 21, so that they may be prepared for the children.
Those who wish to make a monetary donation can see www.OCNJCARE.org, deliver to the Ocean City Welcome Center, Ninth Street and Simpson Avenue, or mail to: OCNJ CARE, PO Box 807, Ocean City, NJ 08226 and designate you wish it to be applied for Christmas. Gift cards may also be mailed or delivered to the Welcome Center, or mailed to the PO Box.
Those interested in sponsoring a family can contact the CARE Hotline 1-855-622-2730.
OCNJ CARE is a nonprofit organization created by Ocean City community organizations, the city and chamber to assist in the cleanup and recovery effort post-Sandy.
