Former City Clerk Pileggi dies, 75

OCEAN CITY — Former Ocean City Clerk Angela Pileggi, 75, died Tuesday, Dec. 18 at Shore Medical Center in Somers Point, according to her obituary.
Pileggi was born and raised in Ocean City, and lived there her whole life, working for the city for 30 years. She started in the civil engineer’s office and continued as deputy city clerk before becoming clerk.
She was a member of the New Jersey Municipal Clerks Association and a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church in Ocean City.
Pileggi was predeceased by her daughter, Michelle Hodgdon.
Surviving are husband Donald Pileggi of Ocean City, children Marilinda Hodgdon, William Hodgdon, Marlene Hodgdon all of New York City, and Donald Pileggi Jr. of Somers Point; two grandchildren, Nicole of South Carolina, Brooke of Northfield; her brother, Frank Longo of Ocean City; and two sisters, Antoinette Morris and her husband Bernie of Ocean City, and Mary Hartz and her husband Jay of Chicago, Ill.
Her funeral service was held Saturday, Dec. 22 at St. Peter's.
