A snowy surprise in Ocean City

OCEAN CITY — Several inches of snow fell Friday morning, Feb. 1 across South Jersey, causing a near white-out in Ocean City and other areas along the Jersey Cape. That didn't stop residents from starting their days with walks along the beach and boardwalk. Some stores did close, including Great American Chicken Co. and Kidz Creations, due to the snowy weather. In addition, the Peck's Beach Village cleanup on Saturday, Feb. 2 has been postponed. The snow tapered off by noon.
More snow is expected this weekend between Saturday night and Sunday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
