Ocean City woman arrested, charged with multiple drug offenses

OCEAN CITY — An Ocean City woman was arrested Wednesday, Jan. 2 after a two-month narcotics investigation by Ocean City police.

Danielle M. Canally, 23, of the unit block of Sixth Street in Ocean City was charged with possession of drugs with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public park, possession of drugs with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school zone, possession of drugs with intent to distribute, four counts of possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

On Jan. 2, the Ocean City Police Department and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Guns, Gangs and Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at Canally’s residence.

Police said they seized prescription medications, suspected marijuana and $1,100 in cash during the search.

Canally is currently being housed at the Cape May County jail in lieu of $35,000 full cash bail.

The warrant was a result of a two-month investigation.
