After working through the weekend, the Marzilli Construction crew have much of the old Christian Brothers buildings at 31st Street and Central Avenue as of Monday, April 28. The site is planned for duplexes. 

 

A section of the two buildings at the Christian Brothers site at 31st Street and Central Avenue was still standing as of Monday morning, April 28, but it probably won’t be for long, considering the rambling, multistory structure was intact as of Friday afternoon. With the asbestos siding removed from both structures, the demolition of the Christian Brothers buildings began on Friday, April 25. Before the demolition began, emergency crews were invited to use the century-old building for training.
