Members of the Lance Cpl. George Dramis detachment of the Marine Corps League started off this year’s Miss New Jersey Pageant parade on the Ocean City Boardwalk on Wednesday. Preliminary competitions are planned at the Ocean City Music Pier Thursday and Friday, with Miss New Jersey to be crowned on Saturday night.

Students from the Camden Academy charter high school participated in the parade. Despite grey skies and mist that threatened rain, many turned out to the Ocean City Boardwalk for the parade Wednesday, June 11.

Cara McCollum of Princeton will remain Miss New Jersey until Saturday, when the crown will be passed to a new woman at the Ocean City Music Pier. The final starts at 7 p.m. Tickets for that event are $50. Call 609-525-9300 for pageant details.
