ABSECON – The Absecon Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center will host its second annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony 6 p.m., Monday, Dec. 1 at its facility at 1020 Pitney Road.

Pleasantville seniors plan trip to Williamstown Amish Market

The Pleasantville Senior Citizens Advisory Board is sponsoring a bus trip to the Amish Market in Williamstown on Thursday, Nov. 13.

The event is free and open to all Pleasantville seniors on a first-come, first-served basis. The bus leaves Pleasant Acres at 8:30 a.m., the High-Rise, Mid-Rise complex at 8:40 a.m. and Saint Peters at 8:45 a.m.

Stroll around tables lined with trays of homemade cookies. Take as much as you want for $8 per pound.

Youth Prevention and Education Group

The Family Success Center staff will be implementing weekly groups for Pleasantville youth to discuss issues such as anger management, gang awareness, self-awareness, and other educational topics.

Youth in the group range in age from 6-12. The groups will be held from 2:30-5pm Thursdays in April at the Pleasantville Housing Authority, 301 Woodland Ave., Pleasantville.
