Holy Spirit High School will host an open house 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at the school, at 500 S. New Road, Absecon.

Holy Spirit is celebrating its 50th year in Absecon. Prospective students and families are invited to visit with current students, faculty and coaches during the open house. Activities and campus guided tours will be available.

Absecon Historical Society celebrates Veterans Day

The Absecon Historical Society will celebrate Veterans Day 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8 at Howlett Hall, 100 New Jersey Ave., Absecon.

It will feature a display of memorabilia from different wars along with a talk by member and veteran Bill Hoch. The public is welcome to share about their service and experiences.

Irish-American Cultural Society presents songs on the Celtic Harp

The Irish-American Cultural Society will host Irish harp performer Mary Kay Mann during its 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21 meeting at the Absecon American Legion Hall, New Jersey Avenue and Mill Road. Mann, who is making a return appearance, will add singing and a narration.

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton cookie walk

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton is hosting a cookie walk Saturday, Dec. 13 in the parish hall, New Jersey Avenue and Mill Road, Absecon.

Stroll around tables lined with trays of homemade cookies. Take as much as you want for $8 per pound.

Faith Baptist Church Fall Revival

Youth Prevention and Education Group

The Family Success Center staff will be implementing weekly groups for Pleasantville youth to discuss issues such as anger management, gang awareness, self-awareness, and other educational topics.

Youth in the group range in age from 6-12. The groups will be held from 2:30-5pm Thursdays in April at the Pleasantville Housing Authority, 301 Woodland Ave., Pleasantville.

Pleasantville Recreation Tennis Club
