Absecon Ed. Association, PTO and Green Team present free Family Movie Night

  The Absecon Education Association in conjunction with the Absecon Green Team and Absecon PTO is presenting a free family night out.  The event is 8 p.m. Friday, June 13 at the football field at Pitney Park. A free showing of the movie, “ Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax” (which was secured by the Absecon Green Team) will be shown. The PTO will be selling snacks at the concession stand. The Absecon Community Affairs Team will be selling glow in the dark keepsakes, and Absecon teachers will provide the screen and sound system for your viewing pleasure. Bring your beach chairs, blankets and all your family members for this wonderful community event.

American Legion Post No. 28 Family Fun Day

The Absecon Legion Post No. 28 will host a Family Fun Day 4-7 p.m., Saturday, June 21 on its grounds at the corner of New Jersey Avenue and Mill Road. Enjoy pony rides, games and a dunk tank. A pulled pork dinner with a beverage and dessert is $15 for adults and $10 for children. Hot dogs will be available. Get tickets from any member or call Walt Krouse 609-641-6786.

Eight Sundays of music, fun in Absecon

ABSECON - City officials have announced the city’s 2014 Concerts in the Park schedule which begins later this month and runs through mid-August.

Weekly concerts begin at 7 p.m. Sundays starting June 22 and lasting until Sunday, Aug. 10. All concerts are free and take place in Heritage Park along Ambassador Drive in Absecon.  Food is available at the park’s concession stand and residents are reminded to bring a blanket or chair to sit on.

Liberatore Jr.  The staff and residents at Mainland Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pleasantville donned on their sharpest attire on Friday, March 21 during the annual Fashion Show held in the center’s community room.
