PLEASANTVILLE — The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Pleasantville Police Department are investigating improper use of school resources in the district, Superintendent Garnell Bailey said on Thursday, Jan. 26.

Bailey said she and the Board of Education filed the complaint approximately two weeks ago. She said they felt there had been a mismanagement of financial procedures and also inappropriate use of district resources.

She said she could not comment on how long the investigation was expected to take and refused to comment on the details surrounding the inquiry out of caution of hindering the investigation.

The prosecutor’s office would not confirm or deny an investigation was ongoing.
