Vic Vergata Sr. dinner

The Absecon Lions Club will host its annual Vic Vergata Sr. Memorial Spaghetti Dinner 1-6 p.m. Sunday, March 11 at the John D. Young Memorial Blind Center, 100 Crestview Ave. The price is $9 for adults and $4 for children. There will be door prizes and a 50-50. Takeout is available; bring your own container. Proceeds benefit sight projects. Call (609) 646-3263.

Mental illness support group

The Atlantic County National Alliance on Mental Illness meets 7 p.m. on the second Monday of each month in the United Methodist Church of Absecon, Pitney Road and Church Street. Community Center for Senior Citizens

The Community Center for Senior Citizens is open 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Absecon United Methodist Church, 100 Pitney Road, for all Atlantic County residents age 60 or older. AARP meetings

AARP Absecon Chapter 705 meets at 1 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month at American Legion Post 28, New Jersey Avenue and Mill Road, Absecon. Call (609) 703-1236.

Absecon Democratic Club

Storytime at Absecon Library

Storytime for preschoolers is offered 10 a.m. Wednesdays at the Absecon Public Library, 305 New Jersey Ave. Character Storytime is 6:30 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month featuring characters from Fairytale Entertainment. Call (609) 646-2228.

Mothers Club meetings

. The club is for women with children up to 5 years old to establish a network of friends, find playmates for their children and get involved in their communities. Absecon Woman’s Club
