ABSECON – An 84-year-old local man was struck by a car Saturday, April 14 in the parking lot of Dunkin’ Donuts on Mill Road.

Francis Jones of Absecon was walking to the store at 4:40 p.m. Saturday when a BMW driven by Scott Schoenenberger, 43, of Breinigsville, Pa., backed into him, police said Sunday.

Jones was treated at the scene by members of the Absecon Ambulance Squad and was transported to the hospital for further evaluation.

The accident is being investigated by Officer Mitchell Levin.
