Pedestrian killed along Route 30 in Absecon

ABSECON – Police are withholding the name of a pedestrian who was struck and killed by a passing vehicle at 10:22 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 4 until next of kin are notified.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Route 30, commonly known as the White Horse Pike, and Mill Road, according to the Absecon police department.

Officers arrived at the scene to find the unconscious victim lying in the roadway and suffering from severe injuries.

The Absecon Emergency Services Ambulance transferred the victim to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center where doctors declared the person dead.

Police said Jeremy Senior, 30, of Mays Landing, the driver of the vehicle, was not injured.

The accident remains under investigation by Sgt. Raymond Adams and Ptl. Jeffrey Mazer.
