2 teens killed in Pleasantville shooting

PLEASANTVILLE – Two Pleasantville teens were killed in a late-night shooting yesterday, acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced.

Shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, Pleasantville police responded to a 911 call reporting shots being fired in the area of 10 Woodland Ave.

Police found a 13-year-old boy suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in front of a residence at 10 ½ Woodland Ave. The boy was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, where he was pronounced dead.

In an alley at the rear of the residence, police found Taron Williams, 19, who resided at the house, also suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Williams was taken to AtlantiCare, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit was dispatched to the scene and is investigating the homicide with the Pleasantville Police Department. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Major Crimes Unit at (609) 909-7666 or the Pleasantville police at (609) 641-6100.

No arrests have been made.
