The Absecon Police Department handled 28,950 calls for service in 2012 – about 79 per day. Police investigated 559 motor vehicle accidents, responded to 680 medical calls and made 625 arrests, 61 for driving while intoxicated.

Edward Crawford, 45, of Absecon was arrested Dec. 1 at New Jersey Avenue and Mechanic Street and charged with disorderly conduct and on outstanding warrants. He was remanded to the Gerard L. Gormley Justice Facility in Mays Landing in lieu of posting bail.

Ramon Quintanilla, 29, of Pleasantville was arrested Dec. 2 following a motor vehicle accident at Absecon   Boulevard and Turner Avenue. He was charged with obstruction and motor vehicle violations.

Michael T. Hiltner, 37, of Cedar Run was arrested Dec. 4 on Plymouth Landing Road and charged with harassment.

Kimberly Havens, 41, of Galloway was arrested Dec. 5 and charged with simple assault after police received reports of a disturbance at the Home Depot.

Charles T. Fehil, 41, of Absecon was arrested Dec. 5 at the Crest Motel on Absecon Boulevard and charged with simple assault and on a warrant from Illinois. He was jailed at the Gerard L. Gormley Justice Facility in Mays Landing after failing to post $5,000 bail.

Adrian B. Lewis, 24, of Wilmington, N.C. was arrested Dec. 7 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested after police received a report of pedestrians jumping the center median of the White Horse Pike.

Leonardo Finelli, 42, of Absecon was arrested Dec. 8 on Hobart Avenue and charged with simple assault.

Kirk J. Heiland, 21, of Absecon was arrested Dec. 14 on Faunce Landing Road and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana.

Ismael D. Ramos, 27, of Vineland was arrested Dec. 18 on Westcott Road and charged with eluding. He was jailed at the Gerard L. Gormley Justice Facility in Mays Landing after failing to post $35,000 bail.

Tanvir Zaman, 32, of Absecon was arrested Dec. 26 on Davis Avenue and charged with harassment. He was jailed at the Gerard L. Gormley Justice Facility in Mays Landing after failing to post $1,000 full cash bail.

Bryant K. Nelson Jr., 25, of Atlantic City was arrested Dec. 28 at the California Townhomes and charged with assault and resisting arrest. He was jailed at the Gerard L. Gormley Justice Facility in Mays Landing after failing to post $6,000 full cash bail.

Carmen Leizzi, 61, of Ventnor and Oscar I Virueras-Clavel, 22, of Atlantic City were arrested Dec. 28 at the Home Depot and charged with shoplifting and conspiracy.

Kavaita Laroiva, 21, of Galloway and Nico D. Serrian, 20, of Atlantic City were arrested Dec. 31 at the McDoland’s Restaurant on the White Horse Pike and Mill Road and charged with assault.

Carmen Leizzi, 61, of Ventnor was arrested Dec. 31 at the Home Depot and charged with shoplifting. Leizzi was jailed at the Gerard L. Gormley Justice Facility in Mays Landing after failing to post $20,000 full cash bail.

Theresa M. Denning, 29, and Stephen Q. Garris Jr., 32, both of Absecon, were arrested Jan. 2 at the Comfort Inn on Absecon Boulevard and charged with assault.

Ian B. Resnick, 37, of Absecon was arrested Jan. 1 at a Blenheim Avenue address and charged with assault.

Terry R. Peterson, 52, of Galloway was arrested Jan. 3 at New Jersey and Station avenues and charged with DWI, refusal to take a breath test, reckless driving and failure to stop or yield.

Maria Y. Torres, 24, of Absecon was arrested Jan. 5 and charged with DWI and with operating an unregistered vehicle.
