Atlantic City men jailed after Absecon gun report leads to drug arrest

 ABSECON _ A report of an armed man located inside an Absecon hotel led to the arrest of two Atlantic City men on Monday, Dec. 2.

However, no weapons were found but Absecon police discovered the men had controlled dangerous substances with them in the room.

Absecon police arrested Atlantic City residents Qadree Nelson and Allan Moore, no ages given.

Nelson and Moore were also wanted on warrants out of the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Department, the Absecon police said.

Nelson and Moore were jailed at Atlantic County Justice Facility on $12,500 bail.

The incident began at 2:03 a.m. when the Absecon police received a report stating a man was armed with a handgun inside the Comfort Inn, 539 E. Absecon Boulevard, Absecon.

With assistance from the Pleasantville Police Department, the Absecon officers responded to the Comfort Inn and contacted Nelson and Moore in one of the rooms.

No weapons were found, police said.
