ABSECON — The Absecon Police Department is searching for the man who robbed a Route 30 gas station before bullying his way past the station attendant Tuesday, Jan. 7.

The strong-arm robbery occurred at about 3:10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7 at the Sun Petro Gas Station, 101 Absecon Blvd., Absecon police said in a news release.

The gas station surveillance cameras caught the image of a white man entering the store without the attendant’s knowledge, police said.

The man was wearing dark pants, a black jacket, a black ski mask-style face covering and black gloves, and was carrying a dark backpack with yellow straps.

The Galloway Township and Egg Harbor Township police departments helped investigate the robbery.
