Absecon police continue to investigat an armed robbery that occurred 3:52 a.m. Friday, March 14 at the Sun Petro Gas Station, 101 Absecon Blvd.

Surveillance footage captured two men – one black and the other white or light-skinned –approach the attendant on foot, the police said.

Both men are believed to be about 20 to 25 years old with a thin to medium build.

The man wearing black boots, jeans, a blue hooded sweatshirt and flat-brim baseball cap produced a handgun and forcefully removed several hundred dollars in cash and the victim’s cellphone.

The men then ran south on Shore Road toward Ohio Avenue.

A witness reported that the men entered a dark sedan that had been parked beneath the train bridge. The vehicle reportedly fled south on South Shore Road at a high rate of speed.
