Absecon police arrest Galloway man on weapons charges

ABSECON _ A Galloway man faces several weapons charges after he was arrested by Absecon police officers after residents reported a man with a shot gun near the city boat ramp, according to a statement issued by the Absecon Police Department.

Brett Duffy was located and arrested without incident at Route 30 and Second Avenue in Galloway on Thursday, April 17, according to a release issued by Absecon Ptl. Kevin Craig.

In addition to the weapons charges, Duffy was also charged with disorderly conduct.

The incident began when several residents made 9-1-1 calls to police that reported a man shooting at wildlife at the bulkhead on Faunce Landing Roadand Fourth Street, Craig said.

Duffy left the area before police arrived.

However, police were able to track him down in Galloway, Craig said.
