EHT man indicted in shooting death of Pleasantville man

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP - An Atlantic County Grand Jury indicted an Egg Harbor Township man on June 26 for the 2013 murder of Pleasantville man, according to acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain.

Randall Scott, 21, of Egg Harbor Township, was indicted on three counts: murder, unlawful possession of a handgun, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

He faces up to 30 years to life if convicted and has been jailed at the Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $1 million cash bail.

Scott is charged in connection with the shooting death of Curtis Watson, 20, of Pleasantville.

Police found Watson’s body at 12:30 a.m. Oct. 8 in a room at the Courtesy Inn Motel, 2580 Tilton Road.

An investigation by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Egg Harbor Township Police Department led to Scott’s arrest.
