Absecon Police investigate nighttime armed robbery of a delivery driver

According to the Absecon Police, a delivery driver for the Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant said he was robbed by two men around 9:30 p.m. Monday, July 21 while making a delivery to Building 12 of the Oyster Bay Condominiums. The apartment complex is located off of West California Avenue on the city’s southeast side and along Absecon's  border with Pleasantville.

As the victim attempted to make his delivery, he was approached by two African-American males in their 20s, police said. They forced the victim to the ground and forcefully removed his money, credit cards and phone.

One of the men brandished a handgun during the attack, the police said.

The suspects ran off behind Building 12 and toward Route 9, the police said.
