ABSECON – The Absecon Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who stole money from the safe at Shore Points Pools on Friday, Aug. 22.

The burglary occurred at 9 p.m. at Shore Points Pools, 921 White Horse Pike and across the street from the Marketplace at Absecon.

Police say the suspect cut communication lines and pried open a side door to enter the building. Then he cut more communication lines and forced open a safe. He stole an undetermined amount of money.

The man is described as a light-skinned male, 5-foot-9 with facial hair. He appears to  be wearing a light-colored, baggy, hooded sweatshirt, light color pants and dark books.

The Absecon detective bureau is investigating the burglary and is examining additional evidence, police said.
