The woman, 26, an employee of Card Smart Cards, located on the White Horse Pike in the AbseconCenter, was thrown to ground by her assailants. She suffered minor injuries and declined medical treatment.

According to information released by Sgt. Robert Ponzetti, the woman was taking out the trash at 8:28 p.m. in the rear parking lot when she was attacked by two African-American males.

She screamed when they threw her to the ground. The men then took off running toward the United States Post Office, Absecon branch. The woman lost site of the men when they ran toward the east on West Jersey Avenue.

She described them as 6-feet tall, wearing dark clothing, with short hair and no facial hair. She said the men were between 25 and 35 years old.

The Absecon Police wants to hear from anyone who saw someone hanging around the Absecon Center, especially the Island Cleaners and Laundry.

The police are especially concerned about any one who was seen in the area after 8 p.m.
