Crusaders’ season comes to a halt at Roselle Catholic

The Wildwood Catholic High School boys basketball team ran into a powerhouse Monday night.
Competing in a South Jersey Non-Public B semifinal game, the third-seeded Crusaders were dealt a 75-50 loss by second-seeded Roselle Catholic, ending the Crusaders season at 23-6.
Roselle Catholic, ranked 11th in the state by the Newark Star-Ledger, erupted for 27 first-quarter points and rolled into halftime with a 46-27 lead. Four players scored in double figures for Roselle Catholic (21-5), led by 21 points from Malachi Richardson, 17 points from Hakim Saintil and 13 points from Syracuse recruit Tyler Roberson.
Saitil and Richardson each knocked down four three-pointers for Rosele Catholic, which made a total of 11 shots from behind the arc in the game.
Wildwood Catholic, which finished 23-6 with a starting lineup that featured four juniors and a sophomore, got 17 points from Jordan Robertson and 13 points from Eddie McWade.
