Feraco, Christian selected for South Jersey all-star game

Middle Township’s Tom Feraco and Wildwood’s Francis Christian have each been selected to participate in the Al Carino Basketball Club of South Jersey’s 36th annual all-star game.

The contest, which includes the top senior basketball players from throughout South Jersey, will be held Sunday, Match 24 at 3 p.m. at Rutgers-Camden University.

Feraco and Christian will be members of the East team, which will be coached by Hammonton’s Joe Martino.

Feraco, a 6-3 forward, helped Middle Township finish 21-7 and advanced to the Cape-Atlantic League championship game and the South Jersey Group II semifinal. He averaged 13.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.

Christian, a 6-1 guard, led Wildwood to a 17-11 season that included a first-round state playoff victory in Group I. He led all Cape May County players and was one of South Jersey’s best in scoring at 20.6 points per game, while also averaging 7.1 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 5.5 steals per game. Christian finished his career ranked fourth all-time in program history with 1,525 points.
