The completion of the suspended high school boys basketball game between St. Joseph and Wildwood Catholic will take place Monday, Jan. 27 at 8 p.m. at Wildwood Catholic, Crusader athletic director Sal Zuccarello announced early Friday afternoon.

The contest, held Thursday evening, was suspended by game officials at halftime due to slick floor conditions that caused some players and one of the referees to slip and fall at various points of the first half.

The game will resume with St. Joseph holding an 18-16 lead.

The contest has major ramifications on the race for the Cape-Atlantic United Conference title. Wildwood Catholic, which beat St. Joseph in Hammonton earlier this month, enters a non-league game with Haddonfield on Saturday at 9-3 overall, 5-0 in conference play. St. Joe is 8-2, 5-1.

In the first half on Thursday, LaQuay Brown of St. Joseph scored eight points to lead all scorers in a first half that saw neither team lead by more than three points. Ben Mitchell had added seven. Eddie McWade was top scorer for Wildwood Catholic with five points.
