Gene Zebrowski (left) and Cory Damiana of Lower Cape May ERMA – Cory Damiana and Gene Zebrowski officially accepted scholarship offers to play college sports Tuesday afternoon.

The two Lower Cape May Regional seniors signed National Letters of Intent during a ceremony held at the Board of Education offices on the high school’s campus.

Damiana, one of the best wrestlers in school history, accepted a two-thirds athletic and academic scholarship to wrestle at Division I Hofstra University. Damiana went 123-24, was a three-time district champion, three-time state qualifier and multi-year Cape-Atlantic League all-star during his career with the Caper Tigers.

Zebrowski, a defender for the boys soccer team, received about a 50 percent academic scholarship to attend Division II Philadelphia University, where he’ll also play soccer. Zebrowski was a three-year starter for Lower, the final two at center back. He was a second team CAL all-star as a senior.
