It was a beautiful spring day when guests arrived at the Ocean City Yacht Club for the annual Salute to Working Women luncheon. Barbara Brown and Shawnda McGinnis welcomed everyone as they arrived and marveled at the lovely new look of the Yacht Club that just went through six months of renovations after Hurricane Sandy.

The Ocean City Exchange Club hosted the Ocean City High School championship girls basketball team at a recent Monday night dinner.
Just back from the winter in Florida, Bill Meis arrived at the same time as Jim and I. Curt Gronert was stationed near the door to welcome guests when they arrived.

When the American Association of University Women – Atlantic County branch chose Peggy Lloyd, 99, as their 2013 Woman of Distinction, a large contingent from Ocean City attended the luncheon honoring this pint-sized lady.

The Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce combined their annual installation dinner at the Greate Bay Country Club with their 2012 Citizen of the Year and Business Beautification Awards, which was postponed in November due to Hurricane Sandy. Barbara Brown and Caitlin Greene along with JT Williams welcomed guests when they arrived while Michele Gillian and Shawnda McGinnis tended to last minute details.

The Ocean City Exchange Club held their 48th annual Book of Golden Deeds Award dinner honoring First Night Ocean City at the Greate Bay Country Club. Andrea Paul and I walked into the club with Anita Culp while our husband’s, Jim, Don and Bill, parked the cars on this unseasonably cold night.

Education foundation members Joe Ney, Joann Del Vescio, Mary Beth Snow, Kim Davidson, David Allegretto, Tricia Ciliberto, Brenda Flaherty-Pickeral, Meth Morgenweck and Geoff Haines line up for a picture at Coach Bingo Night.
The Ocean City Education Foundation recently presented Coach Bingo Night at Sandi Pointe Coastal Bistro in Somers Point. The parking lots were full and ladies were lined up out the door when I arrived as everyone was excited to have the chance to win a Coach purse.

A large crowd gathered at the Greate Bay Country Club for the Ocean City High School surf team scholarship fundraiser on a late winter Friday night. Peggy Blizzard and Susan Biglin were stationed just inside the door to welcome guests when they arrived while upstairs Jennifer Bowman made sure everyone got tickets for the raffle and door prizes.

After months of planning our dream vacation to Hawaii under the guiding hand of our travel agent, Peggy Doyle, Jim and I were finally on our way up the Atlantic City Expressway to the airport with a light snow on the ground. Pacifico Valet dropped us at the airport and our 7 a.m. US Airways flight left on time.
