Atlantic Cape offers classes for the over-50 group

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP – Atlantic Cape Community College’s Club 50 Plus offers new workshops and seminars for older learners this spring.

Get Your Affairs in Order teaches students to organize financial, medical and personal information in one place, so in the event of a catastrophic event or death, their most important information is readily available for loved ones. The course is 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday March 17 and 24.

Fit Seniors allows students to embrace a healthy lifestyle that promotes vitality and well-being. This exercise class improves overall function, featuring safe and effective endurance, flexibility, balance, coordination and improved postural stability. It runs 10:30-11:30 a.m. for six Fridays, starting March 23.

Nutrition for Seniors 9 a.m.-noon Friday, April 20 will show students how a proper diet can boost immunity and fight illness-causing toxins and help maintain a healthy weight. Facebook & Twitter shows seniors how to create a Facebook account, upload and organize pictures, search for people, share conversations and stay connected with family and friends, and explore a variety of Facebook applications. It runs 9 a.m.-noon for two Fridays beginning April 27.

Participants in South Jersey Winery and Vineyard Tour will lunch at Careme’s Restaurant, Atlantic Cape’s student-run gourmet restaurant, and then tour Cape May Winery and Natali Vineyard. The class is 11:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday, May 25.
