Atlantic County's two residential debris disposal sites will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily until further notice where residents can bring tree debris from the June 30 storm as they begin the cleanup process.

The locations are Riverbend Park, Route 559 between Betsy Scull Road and Green Tree Golf Course; and Atlantic County Park, Estell Manor, north entrance off of Route 50, Mays Landing. Both sites are secured by sheriff's officers. Proof of residency is required and illegal dumping will be prosecuted.

FEMA representatives continue to assess damages, the first step in the process of a federal disaster declaration. If a federal disaster is declared, residents and businesses will be advised about how to proceed to seek assistance.

In the meantime, residents should continue to report damages to their local office of emergency management or online at www.aclink.org or www.ReadyAtlantic.org.

All Atlantic County government offices will open on Monday, July 9 on schedule as most power has been restored throughout the county.
