SOMERS POINT – It takes a year of planning, gathering and sorting for the Episcopal Church Women of Christ Episcopal Church to pull off their annual fall rummage sale 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 9 and 10.

"There's so many jobs to be done, especially right before and after the sale," said Patti Stocker. "This is our principal fundraiser, and it takes everyone's help to make it a success."

Through its fundraising efforts, the ECW is able to provide people with year-round help and assistance.

"We're all about outreach," Stocker said. "Our mission and ministry is attested by supporting those in need."

The ECW supports many organizations, including Episcopal Relief and Development, The Women's Center, Kathleen's Closet, Adelaide's Place (a drop-in center for women) and the Ecumenical Food Bank at the GraceLutheranChurch on Shore Road in Somers Point.

The group meets 11:30 the first Sunday of each month in the Parish House living room. For information call Juanita McMenamin (609) 625-0603, Sue Kelsey (609) 390-0564, or the church office (609) 927-6262.

The second day of the sale will feature half price on all nonclothing items, and all the clothing that can be stuffed into a brown paper grocery bag for $3.
