U.S. Congressman Frank LoBiondo announced he plans to unveil legislation that addresses changes to flood insurance reform Monday.

At a press conference in Brigantine April 15, LoBiondo will present legislation he’s authored to address the scheduled 25 percent increase in flood insurance premiums nationwide, as well as provide an updates on his efforts regarding FEMA flood maps and tax relief for Sandy victims.

In a release sent Thursday, LoBiondo said these changes to the National Flood Insurance Program, brought on by the Biggert-Watters Flood Insurance Reform Act of 2012, “will hamper rebuilding efforts along the Jersey Shore.”

The conference is set for 10 a.m. Monday along the Brigantine Seawall, just past North 14th Street at Brigantine Avenue.
