Atlantic City International Airport reported the lowest average domestic air fares in a survey released Monday, April 30 of the top 100 U.S. airports by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Average domestic air fares in the United States rose to $368 in the fourth quarter of 2011, up 10 percent from the average fare of $335 in the fourth quarter of 2010, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics reported.

U.S. Rep. Frank LoBiondo has introduced a bill that would amend the New Jersey state constitution and allow sports betting.
LoBiondo is working with U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone Jr., who introduced a separate but similar bill, to gather support for sports betting in the Garden State. They issued a letter to members of the New Jersey congressional delegation asking them to support and co-sponsor both bills.

Cho joins oncology team at Cape Regional
Dr. David Cho, a board-certified radiation oncologist, has joined the cancer care team at Cape Regional Medical Center. Cho is the former medical director for radiation medicine at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Ithaca, NY. He holds academic appointments at both the Roswell Park Cancer Institute and the University of Buffalo.

Gas prices could tank small transportation firms
Gasoline prices in New Jersey, now nearing a three-year high, are expected to climb even higher with the onset of spring and summer. While the pain at the pump is felt by everyone who drives, it could have a make-or-break impact on local taxi services – and, by extension, some of their customers, particularly older adults who no longer drive, and low-income residents who can’t afford a car.
Unleaded regular gas averaged about $3.70 per gallon last week in South Jersey, while premium blends fell just short of the $4 mark.

NAR’s Housing Affordability Index rose to a record high 206.1 in January, based on median home price, median family income and average mortgage interest rate. The higher the index, the greater the household purchasing power.

The workshop will show business owners how to use iPads to accept customer credit card orders, manage to-do lists, and turn the iPad into a desktop using the Microsoft Office 2010 program.
