Welcome Miss America contestants back to Atlantic City

Miss America ATLANTIC CITY—The Miss America Organization announced Thursday afternoon the plans to welcome the 53 contestants back for this years Miss America pageant that is set for Sunday, Sept. 14 at Boardwalk Hall.

The women will begin their nearly two-week journey to the crown Tuesday, Sept. 3. They will be welcomed back to the birthplace of the pageant and the ladies will make their debut at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 3 at Kennedy Plaza on The Boardwalk, a stones throw from where one of them will be crowned Miss America 2015 Sept. 14.

On hand to give the contestants a warm welcome to Atlantic City will be New Jersey Lt. Governor, Kim Guadagno, Atlantic City Mayor Don Guardian, Executive Director of the Casino Redevelopment Authority, John Palmieri, President of the Atlantic City Alliance, Liza Cartmell, AtlantiCare CEO, David Tilton, Chairman and CEO of the Miss America Organization, Sam Haskell and President of the Miss America Organization, Sharon Pearce. Miss America 2014, Nina Davuluri will speak at the event as the ambassador for Atlantic City.

Miss America fans are invited to be a part of the welcome back to Atlantic City and cheer for their favorite Miss America hopeful.
