Jennifer Pullman of South Egg Harbor in Galloway traveled with The Current to Puerto Rico with 40 friends from all over the country and as far as Spain to attend the Puerto Rico Experience Fitness Retreat. They stayed at the El Conquistador Resort in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, and from there explored the El Yunque Rain Forest, Palomino Island, and enjoyed activities including daily Zumba, yoga and other fitness programs – along with plenty of good food and socializing.

Many former Atlantic City High School teachers and students will recognize the man on the right, who was an exchange teacher from Thailand in 1989 named Pittaya Kamtatep. He teaches English in a village school seven hours north of Bangkok and will continue to teach for 18 months until his mandatory retirement. Warren Grossman of Ventnor, his master teacher, visited Kamtatep at the school and received a warm welcome from his students.

Jason, Blaise, Julian and Phyllis Valentino of Margate recently visited St. John in the Virgin Islands. Here, they overlook Trunk Bay, voted one of the top 10 beaches in the world. This was the children's first time to the island, and their parents said they had an amazing time sightseeing and snorkeling the Caribbean, Buck Island and Turtle Cove, Lovango Cay, Christmas Cove, and Maho Bay on St. John.

Robert and Colleen Greco of Egg Harbor Township along with family and friends went to Orlando, Fla., in October to attend the Horror Nights at Universal Studios. They all decided to support their teams and catch some football at the ESPN Club. These friends traveled to the Loire Valley of France and visited the charming and historic home of Richard and K.C. Gober near Chinon. Their motor trip also included Paris, Mont Saint-Michel, several magnificent chateaux, the Chartres Cathedral, Lisieux, the American Cemetery at Normandy, D-Day beaches and a variety of museums.

On an extended Asian trip to visit friends in China and Thailand, Warren Grossman of Ventnor stopped at the Tiger Temple in Kanchanaburi, two hours west of Bangkok. There he personally shared space with these majestic, although nocturnal, cats and felt good about it since part of the cost of admission is applied to preservation of this dwindling species.

While on a land tour to Spain and Portugal with Grand Circle Travel, Stan and Charlotte Friedman of Ventnor took a one day side trip to Tangiers, Morocco. They decided to take a picture with a four-month-old camel instead of taking a ride on the back of its mother. All were happier.

They brought The Current to Orlando, Florida during the Columbus Day holiday. Nick and Kyle spent their time at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure amusement parks. Highlights of the trip were the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and the Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios.

Mary and Nick Galli of Northfield recently returned from a trip to Italy. The Current followed them to the Arno River in Florence. Other stops included Cinque Terre, Florence, Bologna, Pisa, Siena and ended in Rome.

The Current went with Kathy and Mike Farrell of Marmora, Jim Allen of Egg Harbor Township, Louise Broomhead of Egg Harbor Township, Maryanne McGrath of Marmora and Marianna Karayiannis of Marmora to Normandy for the 70th Anniversary of D-Day while on an 11 day trip London to Amsterdam.

Emily Keyser and Marie Sheeran from Team Simkin kickboxing of Simkin's Martials Arts in Galloway took The Current for a run at the 2014 Color Run at Atlantic City’s Bader Field. They supported the "Happiest 5K" kaleidoscope color run. In pouring rain Team Simkin's kickboxing still kicked it!

Karen and Howard Huston of Egg Harbor Township stop for a photo with The Current aboard their cruise to Alaska on board the Zuiderdam cruise ship. The background scenery is Glacier Bay National Park. The park rangers stated that they had not seen such great weather conditions for viewing the glaciers and mountains for a very long time. They were very lucky to be able to have that experience.

Doug and Rosemary Bonner spent a recent Sunday at Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains, Ga. with former President Jimmy Carter and is wife Rosalynn. They invited the Bonners to come back to visit them again. The U.S. Secret Service said "no" to posing with The Gazette, however, so their copy had to remain in the vehicle.
