The Gazette traveled with Bob and Wilma Dubil on their recent trip to the Canadian Rockies, starting in Vancouver with a float plane trip to Victoria, trekking on the Athabasca Glacier, a cable car trip to the Whistler's Peak in Jasper National Park and a scenic train trip to Banf where they took a rubber float boat down the Bow River.

Michelle Martin of Ocean City traveled to Johns Island near Charleston, S.C. to see the majestic Angel Oak tree. This live oak is estimated to be between 400 and 1,400 years old.

Cruising for Christmas Cruising for Christmas Betty and Norman Corson of Mays Landing celebrated an early Christmas present on an 11-day cruise aboard the new Royal Caribbean Quantum of the Seas, sailing out of Bayonne. Their itinerary included San Juan, St. Maarten, Fort de France and St. Kitts.

Barbara Evans of Ocean City, with Betsy Messert of New Caanan, Conn., traveled recently to Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand. They stopped to read The Gazette at a vine-covered temple in the Angkor Wat temple complex in Cambodia. It may look familiar since this site was a backdrop for one of the Indiana Jones adventure films.

Pat Gillian of Ocean City traveled with The Gazette to Adrian College in Adrian, Mich. to watch her granddaughter, Tricia DeFelice, skate in the Bulldog Classic Intercollegiate Figure Skating Competition. Tricia won two gold medals and two bronze medals, and the Adrian College Varsity Figure Skating Team placed first out of 17 colleges.

Destination wedding in Key West Destination wedding in Key West Paul Juliano, a 2002 graduate of Mainland Regional High School, married Tiffany Greer in Key West, Florida. Juliano continued his education at the College of William and Mary, where he captained the baseball team. Both the bride and groom were employed at the Four Seasons in Palm Beach at the time of the wedding. Juliano is now director of hotel operations at the Hard Rick Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Renewing vows in Kauai Renewing vows in Kauai Jeffrey and Gayle Hughes of Egg Harbor Township celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary cruising the Hawaiian Islands in December. This picture is taken at the Fern Grotto in Kauai with a man they called Willie C., who they said had a role in the 1961 Elvis Presley  film “Blue Hawaii.” He played “Hawaiian Wedding Song” for them as they renewed their vows with a group.
