Fun and fitness Puerto Rico Fun and fitness Puerto Rico Jennifer Pullman of South Egg Harbor in Galloway traveled with The Current to Puerto Rico with 40 friends from all over the country and as far as Spain to attend the Puerto Rico Experience Fitness Retreat. They stayed at the El Conquistador Resort in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, and from there explored the El Yunque Rain Forest, Palomino Island, and enjoyed activities including daily Zumba, yoga and other fitness programs – along with plenty of good food and socializing.

Meeting of teachers in Thailand Meeting of teachers in Thailand Many former Atlantic City High School teachers and students will recognize the man on the right, who was an exchange teacher from Thailand in 1989 named Pittaya Kamtatep. He teaches English in a village school seven hours north of Bangkok and will continue to teach for 18 months until his mandatory retirement. Warren Grossman of Ventnor, his master teacher, visited Kamtatep at the school and received a warm welcome from his students.

Sightseeing and snorkeling in the islands Sightseeing and snorkeling in the islands Jason, Blaise, Julian and Phyllis Valentino of Margate recently visited St. John in the Virgin Islands. Here, they overlook Trunk Bay, voted one of the top 10 beaches in the world. This was the children's first time to the island, and their parents said they had an amazing time sightseeing and snorkeling the Caribbean, Buck Island and Turtle Cove, Lovango Cay, Christmas Cove, and Maho Bay on St. John.

Getting close to tigers Getting close to tigers On an extended Asian trip to visit friends in China and Thailand, Warren Grossman of Ventnor stopped at the Tiger Temple in Kanchanaburi, two hours west of Bangkok.  There he personally shared space with these majestic, although nocturnal, cats and felt good about it since part of the cost of admission is applied to preservation of this dwindling species.

Touring Spain and Portugal Touring Spain and Portugal While on a land tour to Spain and Portugal with Grand Circle Travel, Stan and Charlotte Friedman of Ventnor took a one day side trip to Tangiers, Morocco. They decided to take a picture with a four-month-old camel instead of taking a ride on the back of its mother. All were happier.

Viewing glaciers in Alaska Viewing glaciers in Alaska Karen and Howard Huston of Egg Harbor Township stop for a photo with The Current aboard their cruise to Alaska on board the Zuiderdam cruise ship. The background scenery is Glacier Bay National Park. The park rangers stated that they had not seen such great weather conditions for viewing the glaciers and mountains for a very long time. They were very lucky to be able to have that experience.

They invited the Bonners to come back to visit them again.
