Beth Dunn, Susan Mitchell, and The Gazette visited Fatehpur Sikri

Beth Dunn of Ocean City and her sister-in-law Susan Mitchell, who lives in India, visited Fatehpur Sikri, a 16th century city built outside Agra where the Taj Mahal is located. The two went to the Taj Mahal for a sunrise tour that morning.

Members of the Upper Township Middle School Choir received pink hair extenders from from Suzi Q's Hair Salon in Seaville as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. All the proceeds from the event went to Gilda's Club of South Jersey.

Christine Norton of Cape May Court House celebrates her last marching band performance as a senior as a member of the University of Massachusetts Minuteman Marching Band. The band performed the halftime show for UMass football at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass. She’s joined by her sister Olivia Norton and mother, Ruth Norton. In 2008, Christine was featured in the Gazette as the Drum Major of the U.S. All American Marching Band.

Carol Shimer-Young and Jim Young (holding The Gazette) flew to the beautiful Pacific Coast town of Newport, Ore. to visit their friends, and former long time Ocean City residents, Sharon and Ralph Busby. The stop to visit the Busbys was the beginning of a 17-day trek that included Vancouver, Canada and the magnificent scenery of Alaska, including the famed Mt. McKinley, the tallest peak in North America. The Gazette, as it frequently does, went along for the ride.

Every October for the past 40 years, Pat Counsellor and her classmates from Our Lady of Lourdes, School of Nursing, come to Ocean City to spend time together. This year they took The Gazette with them. From left is Leona Mihalko, Millie Sterz, Pat Counsellor, Kathy Owens, Pat Lynn, Marieelaina Costino, MaryAnn Cimpson, (sitting) Gretchen Johnson, Mary O’Donnell, Marge DiPietro, Bunny Richards, JoAnn Bliestine, and Darlene Caputo.
