Gary, Donna and Gary, Jr. took The Gazette with them to the top of Pike's Peak in Colorado where Kathy Lee Bates was so inspired by the view she wrote the words to “America the Beautiful.” Gary, Jr. is a professor at the University of Colorado, Boulder.

 Daryl and Cathy Boorse of Lansdale, Pa. and Ocean City took a trip with The Gazette in October. They traveled along the Danube River from Budapest, Hungary to Nuremberg, Germany, stopping of course at the Bratwurst Roslein Restaurant to celebrate Octoberfest. Here they are pictured with one of the performing musicians.

Middle Township Gazette recently traveled 2,278 miles

Travels The Middle Township Gazette recently traveled 2,278 miles, the length of historic Route 66. Beginning in Chicago and ending at the Santa Monica Pier in California, Gary G. Schempp of Cape May Court House, right, and friend Peter Molenaar of Holland took this photo holding The Gazette in Adrian, Texas, which is the halfway point of Route 66. The three-week journey by car included historic diners, nostalgic motels, restored service stations and museums of Americana. Schempp said the best part of the trip was chatting with the old timers and reminiscing and learning about the Route 66 glory days. For more photos, see http://bit.ly/JViRbG.
