Bocce ball with the OC Gazette

 Residents and visitors of Pennlyn Place  Residents and visitors of Pennlyn Place in Ocean City and its neighboring streets completed their third successful season of weekly bocce ball games. On any given week, a crowd of 14 to 30 come to socialize and play. Everyone is looking forward to the next season's opener in May and any and all challengers are welcome. Of course they all talk about The Gazette during games. Heather Bloomstead, Elissa Williams and Shalyn traveled to Washington, D.C.

Heather Bloomstead, Elissa Williams and Shalyn traveled to Washington, D.C. in April to run the first Nike Woman's Half Marathon on the East Coast. When the girls crossed the finish line they were greeted by men in tuxedos holding silver platters with blue Tiffany & Co. boxes with a Tiffany necklace inside instead of a regular medal.

Members and friends of the Colony Club of Ocean City brought The Ocean City Gazette to a fundraising “Grape Picking Party” at Natali Vineyards in Cape May Court House. After picking grapes for three hours they were treated to a lunch prepared by Ray, the owner. They also celebrated member Sandy Bernhard’s birthday.

The Bernardini family traveled to the Ocean City Welcome Center by Segway

Joanne and Jen were both recovering from serious leg and ankle injuries and couldn't have made the trip by walking it.
