SOMERS POINT – Shore Medical Center pharmacist Kathy Artymowicz of Seaville has been named Shore Medical Center’s 2011 Employee of the Year. Artymowicz was honored during a ceremony in DiOrio Hall last month.

Nurse Kathryn Henry nominated Artymowicz for the award, citing her dedication to others.

“She is always willing to go above and beyond her job responsibility,” Henry said. “All of my co-workers have nothing but wonderful stories about how she has helped them with prescriptions. She is a true asset to our organization.”

Artymowicz joined Shore Medical Center in 2008 after a nine-year stint in retail pharmacies and 20 years as a pharmacist.

“This is a truly humbling experience,” Artymowicz said. “Shore really is a family, and it has been a pleasure getting to know and working with such a great group of people.”

Artymowicz lives with her husband, Rich, and children Nick, 13, and Caroline, 10, in the Seaville section of Upper Township. In her spare time, she enjoys scrapbooking, reading and watching her children take part in their various extracurricular activities.
