Zumba fitness

Zumba Fitness is being held 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays at Upper Township Primary School through Community Education of Upper Township (CEUT). The cost is $5, pay as you go. All fitness levels are welcome. For more information, call Lynn Sooy at 609-377-0982.

Crew Boosters fundraiser

The Ocean City Crew Boosters will hold 50/50 Bingo Bonanza Nights on Jan. 24 at the Upper Township Community Center, 1790 Route 50 in Tuckahoe. Proceeds will benefit Ocean City High School crew. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the Bingo Bonanza starting at 7 p.m. Admission is $2 and includes a four-card sheet for the first regular game. For $10, players can purchase a packet with one sheet for each of the 10 50/50 games. $1 will be charged per sheet for additional regular games. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Polar Bear run walk scheduled in Sea Isle City

SEA ISLE CITY – The public is invited to the Polar Bear 5K Run/1.5-Mile Fun Walk for Autism at noon, Sunday, Feb. 15, at JFK Boulevard and Promenade, Sea Isle City.

Proceeds from the event benefit Autism Speaks, special services schools, autism support groups, and families of special needs children.

PETERSBURG – The Cape May County Library is hosting programs for children and their caregivers in January.

Children ages 3-5 are invited to attend Preschool Storytime. Each storytime will include stories, songs and rhymes, and craft activities that enforce children's basic concepts, language skills, listening ability, and social skills.

Sea Isle to host ‘A Night in Egypt’ and fireworks Dec. 31

SEA ISLE CITY- The Sea Isle City Municipal Alliance Committee will host the annual New Year’s Eve Celebration for children from 5:30-7:30 p.m. inside the City Hall/Public School Gymnasium, located at 4501 Park Road.

The evening’s theme “New Year’s Eve in Egypt” will be highlighted by a variety of decorations that will have guests feeling as though they are on the banks of the Nile River. The celebration will include a hot buffet dinner, dancing and other family entertainment.

Fundraiser planned for Boy Scout’s police memorial

SEA ISLE CITY – A fundraiser for Eagle Scout candidate Ben Jargowsky’s project to install a monument in honor of fallen police officers, especially Sea Isle City Ptl. Michael “Mickey” Cullinane, is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 3 at KIX-McNutley’s in Sea Isle City.

Prior to reaching the rank of Eagle Scout, candidates must complete a service project that displays leadership and benefits the community in one form or another.
