Mature Adults Club trip

The Mature Adults Club is sponsoring a trip to Resorts Casino on Feb. 15. Price is $20. Receive $10 in slot cash and tickets to see “Sing, Swing, Sinatra” featuring Brandon Tomasello. Tomasello grew up in South Philadelphia and sings the songs of Frank Sinatra. Bus leaves the parking lot of the Church of the Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. Call Kay at 741-7784 for reservations.

Potluck luncheon

The Young at Heart, a community group of adults 55 and over, invites you, your family and friends to join us for their monthly potluck luncheon on Wednesday, Feb. 15 in the Fellowship Hall at Seaville United Methodist Church, 3100 Shore Road, Seaville. Bring a dish to share and come prepared to find out if you have any hidden treasures. The guest this month is Daniel Aveno, a coin and jewelry collector from Vineland, who will be setting up to evaluate and/or purchase any gold or silver items that you may wish to sell. Luncheon runs from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Fourth Annual Polar Bear Run/Walk for Autism

The Fourth Annual Polar Bear Run/Walk for Autism will be held on Sunday Feb. 19 on the Boardwalk in Sea Isle City. The event, a 5K run and 1.5 mile walk, starts at 12:15 p.m. on Sunday. Register anytime at Mike’s Seafood, 4222 Park Road in Sea Isle, or visit www.polarbearrunwalkforautism.com.  Registration will also take place on Sunday, Feb 19 from 9 to 11:55 a.m. at the tent outside LaCosta Motel and Lounge on the Corner of JFK Blvd and Landis Ave. Come out and run or walk to help raise money for autism, then head back to the huge heated tent at LaCosta Motel and Lounge for food, fun and entertainment for the whole family, as well as, great door prizes including Flyers, Eagles and Phillies tickets. Ten lucky individuals will win a four-pack of awesome lower level Phillies tickets.

Fish fry fundraiser

On Sunday, Feb. 19, the Knights of Columbus Madonna Maria Council and the Catholic Daughters Court of Our Lady of Mercy, both of Saint Joseph Catholic Church, will co-host a Fish Fry Dinner to raise funds for their many charitable efforts throughout the year. The dinner will take place at The Lobster Loft Restaurant, 42nd and the Bay in Sea Isle City, from 4 to 8 p.m. The general public is invited to attend. Take-out orders will also be offered. Tickets are limited. Tickets will be available in advance and any remaining tickets will be available at the door on Feb. 19. However, purchasing tickets in advance is strongly encouraged, due to the popularity of all Knights of Columbus and Catholic Daughters events. All-you-eat breakfast planned Feb. 19

The Knights of Columbus will host an all-you-eat breakfast Sunday, Feb. 19, at the St. Casimir’s Church Hall in Woodbine. Breakfast will be available from 8-11:30 a.m. at 304 Clay Street. Menu will include scrambled eggs, pancakes, home fired potatoes, sausage, chipped beef, fruit salad, juice, tea and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children and $15 for families.

Sea Isle Garden Club meets

The Sea Isle Garden Club will resume its regular meetings on Thursday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the meeting room of the new Sea Isle City Library, 4800 Central Avenue. Please use the left side entrance. The program will be the annual “Green Auction” with Joy Sumski as auctioneer. New members are welcome.

Christian Women’s Connection buffet

The Cape-Atlantic Christian Women's Connection invites you to their "Send in the Clowns" Luncheon Buffet on Wednesday, March 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. at L's Restaurant, 119 Route 50 in Corbin City. The Bumper “T” Caring Clowns, who volunteer in area hospitals, will entertain with their "Humor that Heals." Wife, mother, and musician Gail Alicea from Wilmington, Del. will sing and share her experience on “Surviving the Grand Canyons of Life.” The all-inclusive price is $16.50. Boy Scout signups

Upper Township’s Boy Scout Troop 95 will hold registration for Upper Township boys sixth grade and older. Scouts meet every week, and also have a campout or other activity each month. It is a chance to try things that you may never be able to on your own and a place to share your special talents and skills. Shore Points Presbyterian

Pastor Dan Barr and the Shore Points Presbyterian Church invite you to worship with them every Sunday at 10 a.m. The service is followed by a special time of fellowship and refreshments. The church meets in the VFW Post of Marmora on 15 Lyndhurst Road right behind the Ocean City Home Bank on Roosevelt Boulevard.
