Beach fee before Mosquito Landing fee

To the editor:

Township residents enjoying themselves and not paying a user fee at Mosquito Landing? Horrors! Committee can't let that go on!

Why is there a boat ramp permit fee for Beesleys Point but a beach tag fee in Strathmere is not worth it? What costs more to staff and maintain? A beach with replenishment regularly and staffed with lifeguards or a river beach with, maybe, a trash can. Oh, and the Fish and Game permit is $15, and that includes all 10 state boat ramps. Or you can buy a fishing, trapping or hunting license and you are covered! Yikes!
What’s next, a basketball court user fee? An Amanda’s Field parking fee? Parking meters at the Township Hall? I know, a permit required for each political sign! That would cover a lot of expenses.
