UPPER TOWNSHIP – Nine members of Upper Township’s People’s Republican Organization (PRO) Club participated in a successful community road cleanup on Saturday, Oct. 27.

The latest cleanup marks a decade of community clean sweeps for the PRO, according to a press release. More than a dozen bags of trash and recyclables were collected.
“This is a fun way for the PRO to do its part in keeping Upper Township green,” said Dr. Janice Lake Betts, PRO Club president.
The group cleaned trash and recyclables from the sides of Tuckahoe Road/Cape May County Road 631. Upper Township is responsible for disposing of the trash.
Joseph Loteck is chair of the community cleanup committee for the PRO Club.
The PRO Club was formed to advocate and promote the ideals and principles of the Republican Party and good government, according to the release.
