Trick or treat officially canceled

SEA ISLE CITY – Following the postponement of trick or treat, the city canceled the event last week.

Officials apologized to local children but safety was a concern because of damage resulting from Hurricane Sandy. Many property owners were in town over weekend, cleaning their homes and adding debris to curbs around town. That created additional safety issues for pedestrians, according to the city.

Pedestrians and motorists are advised to use caution whenever traveling through Sea Isle City.
