Four-vehicle crash reduces Rt. 50 to one lane

GREENFIELD – A four-vehicle accident on Rt. 50 in the Greenfield section of the township left one person injured and closed a lane Thursday morning.

 

The Upper Township Recue Squad and the Seaville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company responded to the scene at 8:49 a.m. The accident occurred on Rt. 50 near Tyler Road.

Four vehicles were involved in the accident, according to the rescue squad. The crash also involved a parked school bus, which was unoccupied at the time.

Traffic was reduced to one lane causing significant delays for more than an hour, according to officials.

EMTs evaluated six patients on the scene. The rescue squad and AtlantiCare paramedics transported one person to an area trauma center for precautionary reasons.

The remaining five patients refused further treatment.
